March 15, 2026 — Belfast, Northern Ireland Global tech firm Version 1 to create 400 new jobs in Northern Ireland’s tech sector, with the Dublin-headquartered company committing to approximately 400 high-skilled positions over the next three years in areas including artificial intelligence innovation, data science, engineering, and digital transformation.

Economy Minister Dr. Caoimhe Archibald welcomed the announcement from Version 1, describing it as a “true testament” to Northern Ireland’s strengths in technology.

“Version 1 has had a presence in the north since 2012, steadily growing its employment here and then acquiring local company, Neueda in 2021. The fact that the company has announced its proposals for a major further growth project with approximately 400 jobs, is a true testament to what we have to offer as a location. The north has a reputation as a region of expertise and knowledge in tech development which aligns perfectly with Version 1’s services across digital, data and AI. I am aware that Invest NI has been working with the company to secure this project and I look forward to announcing more details in due course.”

The minister noted support from Invest NI in facilitating the expansion.

Company Background

Global tech firm Version 1 to create 400 new jobs in Northern Ireland’s tech sector builds on its established operations, which began in Belfast in 2012. The firm currently employs around 500 people in the city following its 2021 acquisition of local firm Neueda, forming one of Northern Ireland’s largest digital companies.

Version 1 serves global clients, including a recent four-year contract with Companies House valued at around £45 million.
